welcome to my fanlisting for the Hex Girls from the Scooby Doo series!
the Hex Girls were originally introduced in the Scooby-Movie 'Scooby Doo and The Witch's Ghost' and immediately became iconic, continuing to appear and preform songs in subsequent episodes and movies. they turned kids everywhere goth (and gay) and promoted enviornmentalist beliefs, calling themselves 'eco-goths' and singing songs about how important it is to protect and care for the planet, and well as how cool nature is! they meant a lot to me growing up, so i decided to create this listing. you can read a little character bio for each individual Hex Girl under 'The Girls'.

each Hex Girl was designed after a Universal Monster and one or more of the witches from the 1996 film 'The Craft'. Thorn's monster is 'Dracula', or just the vague concept of a vampire, and she most closely resembles Bonnie from The Craft. as the 'main' Hex Girl, Thorn is the one we know the most about- like the fact that she's 1/16th wiccan on her mother's side, and shes a practitioner herself. shes known to make her own herbal remedies, which she uses to soothe her vocal chords.
Thorn is associated with the colour red, like blood.
Luna was loosely styled after The Wolfman and Rochelle from The Craft. the two secondary Hex Girl's stage names were based on times of day, with Luna's being night time and evocative of the moon; this may be why she was associated with werewolves, or vice versa. her father is a dentist, and he outfitted the group with their iconic faux-fangs!
Luna is associated with dark purple, like a midnight sky.
She was based on Universal's interpretation of Frankenstein's Monster, played by Boris Karlorff. out of the witches from The Craft, Dusk definitely looks the most like Nancy, right down to the spiked choker. Dusk comes across as standoffish when compared to the other two, but has a notable soft spot for Scooby Doo, even kissing him on the cheek during their preformance of the shows theme song. with her big stompy boots, shaved eyebrows and dark makeup, Dusk reads the most 'trad goth' of the girls. if you've read this far you deserve to know shes also my favourite.
Dusk is associated with green, like Karlorff's Frankenstein.
